Affiliate network pixels: Affiliate networks we participate in may place tracking scripts on our site to attribute commissions when you click through to a partner and make a purchase. These scripts identify that a click originated from MET; they do not collect your name, email address, or any information you have provided to MET. You can opt out through your browser settings or a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal.

When you click a referral or affiliate link and arrive at a partner's site, that site's own privacy policy governs your interaction. We are not responsible for the data practices of third-party sites linked from michiganecotravel.com.

The Field Notes Dispatch is delivered through Beehiiv. When you subscribe, your email address (and first name if provided) is stored in Beehiiv's system. Beehiiv's own privacy policy governs their handling of subscriber data as a platform operator.

You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any MET email. Unsubscribing removes you from all MET email communications.

9. Operator and Brand Evaluation Data

When you submit a Partner With Us inquiry, we collect the information in that form (business name, contact name, email, and details about your operation). If we proceed to an evaluation review, additional business records are exchanged by email.

This data is used solely to evaluate whether an operator or brand meets MET's Great Lakes Stewardship Standard. It is not shared with third parties except as required by law.

Retention: Initial inquiry forms are retained for 3 years. Evaluation documentation for active partners is retained for the duration of the partnership plus 3 years. Documentation for applicants not listed is retained for 1 year, then deleted.
